Plans & Limits

Tusky offers four standard plan tiers. Custom plans can be created for enterprise customers. Storage quota is measured by plaintext size — you’re not penalized for encryption overhead.

Storage is calculated from the plaintext size of your files, not the encrypted size. This means:

  • A 10 MB file encrypted to 10.000016 MB still counts as 10 MB against your quota
  • Deleted files (in trash) still count until permanently removed after the 7-day grace period

Hot retention determines how long files stay in the fast hot cache after syncing to Walrus:

  • Free: 7 days after sync
  • Developer: 30 days
  • Scale: 90 days
  • Enterprise: Files are never evicted from the hot cache

After hot retention expires, files are evicted to cold status and must be rehydrated for download.

Files uploaded on the Free plan are stored in the hot cache only. To enable decentralized durability via the Walrus network, upgrade to the Developer plan or higher.

When you exceed your plan’s rate limit, the API returns 429 Too Many Requests. Rate limits reset every minute.

Upgrade your plan from the dashboard or via the billing API. Plan changes take effect immediately — storage limits, rate limits, and hot retention are updated right away.
